Street View by Google

Thanks, Mark, for letting me in on the whole "street view" thing. It's pretty cool. If you're not sure what this is, check out my friend Mark's blog.

If you're already in the know, do a little search for your house. It's kind of fun.

I saw this a while back it is kinda freaky to be honest. That someone can type in your address & look directly at your house. Ours was taken sometime in Oct. because our Halloween decorations are up.

(btw I don't think putting your home address on a public blog is a very safe thing to do. There are a lot of crazy people out there.)

I don't know why, but the whole idea doesn't really bug me. Guess I'm just too trusting. Thanks for the advice about my address... I removed it.

I guess if they already have the address it doesn't really matter if they can see the house online. Plus I don't mind as much about mine because my kids weren't outside playing or anything like that. If the children were in the picture I would be upset though.

We should also remember that all addresses are public domain and can be found in state/county records, phone books, etc. This doesn't necessarily change anything.
